I am Eliah W. Kuznetsov, senior teacher in The Humanities Chair, Novosibirsk Education Workers' Qualification Improve Institute. I appeal to you for aid in publication of my book "Vladimir Sirin's Mystery". The book contains philological analysis of Sirin's stories anthology "The Return Of Chorb" as a narrative cycle. There I discover the profound principle of miracle play creating poetics of this cycle as a single whole. I also show consistent similarity of this cycle composition to composition of symphonic cycle in mysic. These pointed and some other features make it possible to regard Vladimir Sirin-Nabokov work more in context of Russian "Silver Age" culture tradition than it's used to.
The book also contains recommendations in studying of regarded anthology's stories in secondary school. There is the list of eurystic questions for every story intended for organizing either secondary school lessons or seminars in higher school. This part of book takes up 20% of its whole volume.
Professor Valeri I. Tyupa, doctor of philology, Russian State Humanities University (Moscow), is the scientific editor of the book. The materials of my book were used by me at lectures for teachers in literature and evoked interest. There vere questions if the publication exists and is accessed to buy.
I offered the copy to Novosibirsk publishing house "INFOLIO-PRESS", specializing in scientific and educational literature. They are interested in it, but have no means for publishing. Now they carry on negotiations with Moscow publishing house "Pervoye Sentyabrya" ("The 1-st Of September") on the subject of shareware publishing. It isn't possible to say how long these negotiations will last. Still I think that my material is needed as for school teachers so for any person interested in Sirin-Nabokov's work. As filologist, I never met in scientific literature points of view on Nabokov like mine. Maybe materials of my book can cause interest of foreign readers and scientists too.
The volume of manuscript copy is 221 Kbytes. The language is Russian. The copy is executed in format of Microsoft Word 2.0. for Windows. If nesessary, I can make the publication in Page Maker 6 format, or any printer file.
