WIP: "Art, Alchemy and Failed Transcendence: Jungian influences in Nabokov's Pale Fire"

I have posted previously about Aunt Maud referring to the Jungian poetry critic, Maud Bodkin. I have also posted about the tri-part man and the riddle of the Sphinx and how that refers to John Shade walking with the support of a cane.

I neglected to say that Maud Bodkin "supported" her critiques with Jungian concepts. Therefore it could be said that John Shade is likewise "supported" by the same "sturdy cane".
