I'm doing some digging into Russian "rock" music of the 60s, 70s, and 80s, and came across an album and a documentary film based on Nabokov's poems and Aleksandr Gradsky's music.  The album, "Nostal'giia", was recorded in 1984, during the reign of Konstantin Chernenko.  The film was called "I ne konchaetsia stroka" ("And the line does not end," the last phrase in The Gift).

Do any NabLers know anything about these items? I have known about Gradsky for a long time, but haven't followed him closely.  He did albums based on other poets as well; I have his album based on Nabokov's friend Sasha Chorny's poetry, called "Satiry", that came out in 1986.

Gradsky has been a major figure in Russian rock and art music (and perhaps other genres) since the late 1960s.
