Dear List,

Nabokovīs most important translator to Portuguese, Jorio Dauster, started working anew over VNīs short-stories  ( he alterady translated twenty-six). In the story that opens this new collection, " The Wood-Sprite" (1921), posthumously translated from the Russian by Dmitri Nabokov, Dauster discovered another instance concerning the word "literally" in the English version.

"His voice LITERALLY  blinded me".
Could anyone help us by comparing the original in Russian and DNīs translation, so that the rendering in Portuguese remains faithful to Nabokovīs intention?
Thank you,
Jansy
