In case it has not been reported, today's (3/24/05) NY Times carries a story about the American composer, John Harbison's, abandonment of an operatic adaptation of LOLITA as unproduceable in the current climate of sexual abuse scandals.  However, some of the material has been recast as a seven-minute overture that will be performed this evening by the Boston Symphony Orchestra and again on Monday at Carnegie Hall.
