By chance I picked up a book on the history
of syphillis at the library yesterday. It strikes me that in Ada physical
illness is affiliated with age but not with promiscuity. I wonder why.
I
have felt that Aqua's mental illness was probably poison-induced (the vomiting).
But I wonder if one of the snakes in the family tree might not be venereal
disease. . .
