Subject: 'Window to Paris' and 'The visit to the Musium'

Recently I watched 'Window to Paris' - Russian film directed by Yuri Mamin in 1993.
The story commences with discovery of a pathway from communal appartment in Leningrad to the building roof in Paris by drunken residents. That threshold between two realities is crossed multiple times, both intentionally and unintentionally, by French and Russians alike. Without doubt the movie reflects on emigration and cultural shocks involved.
Some scenes reminded me of impressions of protagonist in 'The Visit to the Musium' when he finds himself in S Petersburg street. The movie demonstrates that main event of 'The Visit to the Musium' lends itself to movie format very well. It is curious to know what role if any Nabokov's story played in making the above movie.
