Subject: Bernard Pivot. Le métier de Lire

After having presented a literary program on French TV for more than 20 years, Bernard Pivot has released a book that consists  in remembrances of his interviews with great writers of the century. Bernard Pivot who named the program with VN in 1976 his proudest memory dedicates in this book a few pages to the interview that preceded the show. It mainly consists of anecdotes and savoury moments spent in Montreux when the piano tuner was repeatedly striking the same key over and over. "Le bruit nous terrasera tous" Nabokov had said.
