NYTimes.com Reading Groups

The reading group forums at the Times' Book Review can be as crowded as Grand Central at rush hour. A recent discussion of The Great Gatsby brought nearly 400 postings in one month, and the Nabokov forum has 5,000 postings and counting. The Reading Group moderated by a Times editor, and authors or critics weigh in with a live chat at the end of month. Readers' postings are varied, passionate, literate, but poorly organized. Lurk elsewhere. Links to other forums, including American history, business and etymology, and to the Book Review and its audiofiles and sample chapters, are hard to resist.
