Dear List,

I couldn't find out if this sighting has been reported before. I hope it's news. "Robert Stam - Literature through film: Realism, Magic and the Art of Adaptation" Blackwell Publishing Ltd. Oxford, 2008.
There are various entries related to Bend Sinister, Camera Oscura, The Enchanter, Laughter in the Dark, Lolita novel and Lolita script, "Pale Film." The opening chapter is about Cervantes and it brings various perspicacious observations about Nabokov's lecture on Quixote and his views on cruelty in Cervantes. Judging from this initial sample and the author's novel perspective, R.Stam's book is really worth the read.
