EDITORIAL NOTE. Galya Diment responds re Dieter Zimmer's query re "Fatal
Lozenges."
-------------------------------

The book Nabokov got was, most definitely, Gorey's. Edward -- or Ted, as
Wilson called him -- Gorey was a good friend of Wilson's and they
socialized a lot (i.e. drank a lot together). Wilson thought of him highly
as a cartoonist and light verse writer (he was often published in the New
Yorker). Most of his stuff was based on mysteries; the animated drawing
that PBS here uses for Mystery Theater is, I believe, Gorey's. Why the
title is "The Fatal Lozenge," I do not know and I cannot think of Fatal
Lozenges anywhere else.
