EDITORIAL NOTE. NABOKV-L thanks Kristin Hiller for this description of a
recent Russian monograph on VN. THe full title of this very curious item
is _"Anti-Bakhtin"--Luchshaia kniga o Vladimire Nabokove_(Against
Bakhtin--the Best Book about V. Nabokov_. If Kristin Hiller's summary of
the table of contents pricks anyone's interest, NABOKV-L would appreciate
a short review of the volume.

I was in St. Petersburg Aug 1994-Aug '95, so I just recently read the
February posting regarding Vadim Lineckij's new book (I apparently forgot to
sign off this list before I left the country). I happened to buy that
book at the St Petersburg State University bookstore (the one in the
twelve colleges building), although I have not read it yet (this was my
first trip to Russia, so I quite enthusiastically bought more books than
I can possibly read in the next several years!).
I have no information about the author of the book, but can tell you that
the book itself was published in Russia: Tipografija im. Kotljakova,
Sankt-Peterburg, 1994. The following statement appears on the reverse of
the title page:"Avtor blagodarit za pomoshch' v izdanii knigi: Firmy
"Lana", Ismailova Gadzhi Ibragimovicha, kollektiv tipografii im. Kotljakova.
