quote, I mention that it is apparently NOT in STRONG OPINIONS, although
the "Austrian crank with a shabby umbrella" is referred to on p. 116.

Can you or anyone in the Nabokov group provide the
source in Nabokov's works (probably non-fiction since I
can't locate any of the particulars in my database) for the
following quotation: "I think he's crude. I think he's
medieval and I don't want an elderly gentleman with an
umbrella inflicting his dreams upon me." He's probably
referring to Freud. A colleague in the math department has
asked me to find this for her.
