EDITOR's NOTE. Like Ulrike Goldschweer, I have a hazy impression that
there IS a VN poem that echoes Tsvetaev's technique. ANy one know
off-hand?

I am not aware of any Tsvetaeva parodies in his oevre, but there is a
parody of Akhmatova in PNIN (in Liza's poetry) which upset Akhmatova very
much. She apparently thought it was vicious (according to Brodsky) and
could not understand why he would do it.

In Nabokov's Berlin reviews of women poets in emigration he is also quite
sarcastic about them following in Akhmatova's footsteps but never,
to the best of my recollection, ridicules Tsvetaeva. GD
