In the May 3rd ECONOMIST, p. 23, the article "Weldless" (nearly all
ECONOMIST articles are anonymous) about Gov. Bill Weld's transfer from
Boston to Mexico City, mentions VN's world twice:

Second paragraph: "[Weld] joked about his reputation for personal sloth and
his aristocratic background,... read Nabokov, and dived head-first into the
Charles River."

Penultimate paragraph (about Joe Kennedy's gubernatorial aspirations): "The
BOSTON GLOBE has accused Michael Kennedy, who was expected to run his
brother Joe's campaign, of re-enacting 'Lolita' with a 14-year-old babysitter."
