It is rumored that Chapter XVI of SPEAK, MEMORY will shortly
appear in the NEW YORKER. When publishing Sp,M (and its predecessors)
Nabokov decided against including this final chapter which takes the form
of a whimsical review of the book itself. It is vintage Nabokov.
