A few weeks ago I spoke about the imminent publication of Ada or ardor in
Italy - by Adelphi... But, at the moment, I've seen nothing. I've asked the
editor and he told me that it was 'some translation problems'. So the volume
is still in limbo and no one seems to know when it will be printed.

Recently Einaudi (one of our main publishers) has printed 'Money' by
Martin
Amis... A very Nabokovian book, I think. I've found an interesting page:
when the author (M.A.) mentions the books in the poor library of John Self,
the starring of Money. Among anonymous others, there is a brilliant
'Success', and it reminds me to one of the three books written by Sebastian
Knight in The real life of Sebastian Knight. It's a little, very pleasure,
discovery. I'm sure, Success would have become a bestseller, if VN had
written it.
