In reference to my earlier question in relation to Foucault and Nabokov, I
would like to thank everyone who replied. I see now that Foucault could
never have influenced LOLITA, because The History of Sexuality Vol. 1. was
published in the later half of his life, that ended in 84. Decades after it
was published, as it seems now the more accurate question would be 'did
Nabokov influence Foucault?' I was caught in the glare of how some specifics
of Foucault's philosophy could have been used in Humbert's persona. Excuse
my error, and future questions will be more defined.
