Re: QUERY: Hairy Hermaphrodite in Lolita? (fwd)

Approximately two months earlier, on the rainy morning, Humbert, almost a
stranger in the house, imagines himself an inflated pale spider with a lilac
design on the back spreading his web all over the house in vain search of
Lolita. Could it be that this imagined spider took a leave of his master in
the later dream in the form of 'a total stranger' with vivid spider
characteristics. Isn't it only natural that the 'congress' (in the form of
meeting) takes place in Parkington on the morning of the day when Lolita is
indeed caught into the luminous web. It is also true that the whole following
experience of Humbert is 'horribly exhausting'. Interestingly, the end of lilac
design takes place in Quilty's Pavor Manor which is located ... near Parkington.
