Subject
Boyd replies re VN and Truman Capote
Date
Body
Brian Boyd replies:
_Cold Blood (1966), novel by Truman Capote.
"The scene of the murder in Capote is great." (Interview with Hugh Mulligan
for Associated Press, published Jan 1977, in e.g. "Ithaca Post," 30 Jan
1977, p. 17.
BB also remembers but cannot identify another interiew in which VN was asked
about the non-fiction novel, and specifically In Cold Blood, as a new genre,
and dismissed the idea, saying that such claims had long been made by
novelists.
