Dear List,
The recent scientific debate on mimicry etc. reminded me of H.G. Wells's short story "The Moth", published in 1895, which was brought to my attention by the Dutch writer Hafid Bouazza, another VN aficionado, some years ago. As it happens, Bouazza, as guest-editor, included this story in the latest OPTIMA (a Dutch literary magazine appearing thrice a year), as an indirect homage to our man VN.
Readers of VN will not fail to appreciate this delightful story for obvious reasons.
