Your Nabokv-L comment prompts me to make mine, a less subtle one.It
must have been pointed out long time ago, I want just to say that I,
too, have noticed it (even before I read any critical comments on
Transparent Things):The last sentence of the novel's first chapter
("More in a moment.") yields anagramatically another meaningful phrase
("a memento mori"). Actually, I don't believe that this fact can be
unknown to Nabokov scholars and students, but if it is not
(impossible!), would you give my comment in the Nabokv-L,
please.
