EDITOR's NOTE. I have just been advised of the following. I checked and
the doubtful file was indeed on my machine. I have now deleted it. You
may wish to check your machines.
------------------------------
I have just been warned that a few weeks ago I may have received an
e-mail
virus that will eventually delete my hard disc. I actually found the
toxic
file mentioned on my computer. That means that inadvertently I too may
have passed it on to my correspondents. The person who informed me says
there is a way to get rid of it. Go to the Start Menu in Windows 95/98
and then to Search or Find and search for the file SULFNBK.EXE that
would be in C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND. DO BY NO MEANS OPEN THIS FILE!!! Do not
click on it! Mark all by the menu command and delete it, and your
computer should be clean again. But you too may have passed the virus
on. If you find the thing on your computer, it would be nice if you
warned your correspondents.
