EDNOTE. Carolyn Kunin expands on her (borax) poisoning theme. There certainly is a poisoning motif in the novel starting early on with the Aqua Tofana bit on the 2nd page. The questions CK raises might make a good term paper or article.

I have become very suspicious of Ada(-yada) -- I'm almost certain, make that I am certain, that she poisoned Rack and believe she also had a hand in the deaths of Krolik and Percy de Prey. I really think Marina probably did poison her governess. Has anyone else suspected this that you know of?
