The only two FRENCH butterfly manuals from the period in question cited in later French manuals are:
(1) L. Lhomme: Catalogue des lépidoptères de France et de Belgique (3 parties). Le Carriol par Douelle: 1923-1963
(2) F. Lecerf & C. Herbulot: Lépidoptères de France. Paris: Boubée, 1944-1965
All the others are English, Spanish etc.
