> Dear list,

Every Nabokov sighting is certainly worth attention and since Olivier
Rolin's book directly concerns Nabokov sights in St.Petersburg let me offer
a few corrections. None of the places associated with VN in the city is
"derelict", on the contrary, all of them have been preserved in
relatively good shape including the Tenishev school which at the time of
Rolin's visit was under restoration.

Alexander Alexandrovich Semochkin is the curator of the Rozhdestveno
historical museum and not of the Nabokov museum. We in the museum have
Olivier Rollin's book which is basically a journalistic report of the
author's brief visit to St.Petersburg and, like most books of the same kind,
contains
many factual mistakes.
