Dear Don,
I feel I should offer comments on the article that appeared in the Saint
Petersburg Times.
It was obviously written in haste (not even proofread it seems) and so
many things appear unrecognizable to me.

> 1. I never blamed the people who founded the museum back in 1997. I
believe that
> they sincerely hoped to raise enough funds to pay the rent.
> 2. When asked about Dmitry Nabokov's role I told not only about his
> copyright provisions but also about his moral support of
> the museum and the exhibits he donated.
> 3. The part that covers the history of the house and of the family was
> written by the journalist himself.
>
> And now to the main point: whatever the legal status of the museum is
> we were firmy assured by the city property committee that the museum
> will never be evicted from the house. They understand the cultural
> significance of the museum and are reminded of it every day by dozens
> of journalists - there's a lot of coverage in the Russian
> media. Also, I have letters of support signed by all the leading cultural
> figures of the city.
> We will continue our work, all our
> plans (including the summer school) are valid.
> Thank you, again, for your support!

> With the warmest wishes
