Miriam might also find the following of interest:

Paul Morgan, "Nabokov and the Medieval Hunt
Allegory," Revue de litterature comparée 60.3
(1986) 321-27.

The author discusses the relationship of RLSK to
several 13th-c French courtly-love poems, such as
Li dis dou cerf amoreus and Le dit du cerf blanc,
that allegorize the stag hunt. Although Morgan
doesn't mention it, Nabokov presumably read these
works in preparation for his tripos exams at
Cambridge; one of the Part II exams was on French
literature before 1495.

I am looking for any articles that identify a
chivalry theme in Nabokov's novels. I have heard
that a study was done on chivalry in The Real Life
of Sebastian Knight, but I have had trouble
finding it. Any assistance along those lines would
be helpful.
