Query about Nabokov and synesthesia

[EDNOTE. D. Barton Johnson's "Nabokov as Man of Letters," the opening
essay in his book Worlds in Regression: Some Novels of Vladimir Nabokov
(Ann Arbor: Ardis, 1985), explores this theme in depth. There are also
a number of relevant posts in the NABOKV-L archives (62 for
"synaesthesia" and 50 for "synesthesia"), many of which were also posted
by Don Johnson, who can probably offer invaluable advice regarding this
query. -- SES]

I am in the process of doing a paper on VN and synesthesia, and was
hoping
to find some outside ideas or sources. I am having a hard time finding
any
sources that talk about this, and I don't know if I can publish an
article
that is just me and my theories without any evidence backing them. Any
help would be appreciated.
