"Lebanese blue of the sky" in Ada

Dear Don,
I didn't need to know anything about botany to realize the link bt.
cedar
and "Lebanese blue of the sky", because in my city there are various
Arab-food places and one, named "Beirut" carries the image of a big
cedar
close printed close to the name ( when owned by Lebanese, most places
carry
somewhere an illustration of a cedar, either in the napkins or in the
plates). Still, from what I remember from this scene, there are also
the
blue eyes of deceased Lady Erminin (?) looking down from heaven,
besides
several references to Mesopotamia and Nilotic blues.
I'm bringing this in without checking it in the original "Ada", but the
entire chapter in my recollection brims with oriental images that come
in
addition to Eden/Par-ardis and its Tree of Knowledge.
