Dear List,
I am now poised to take over editing responsibilities from my gallant co-editor, Stephen Blackwell, with whom I actually spent some time face to face last week, in Kyoto, at the very exciting conference on "Revising Nabokov Revising" held by the Nabokov Society of Japan. (Thanks to the generous cooperation of the conference organizers, we will soon post the abstracts by conference participants on NABOKV-L.)
I hope that during the next few weeks, you will gather tidbits, anecdotes, parodies, images, verses, cherished quotes, and other Nabokoviana to share with the List for our annual celebration of VN's birthday on April 23. Please include "BIRTHDAY" in the subject heading.
Meanwhile, please join me in thanking Steve!
